The 2017 Yamaha Viking 700 EPS is a rugged, purpose-built utility side-by-side designed for hard work, tough terrain, and reliable all-day performance. Built around Yamaha’s proven engineering, it delivers a strong balance of durability, traction, and practical hauling capability, making it a go-to machine for farm, trail, and jobsite use.

Power comes from a 686 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-stroke engine with fuel injection, offering smooth and consistent torque delivery. Paired with Yamaha’s Ultramatic CVT transmission and engine braking system, the Viking provides controlled low-speed power for crawling terrain and confident throttle response when loaded or towing.

It rides on Yamaha’s On-Command 4WD system with selectable 2WD, 4WD, and differential lock, giving the driver full control depending on conditions. The Electric Power Steering (EPS) system helps reduce steering effort, especially at low speeds or when carrying heavy cargo or passengers.

Built on a strong steel frame, the Viking features independent double wishbone suspension with around 8.1 inches of travel front and rear, providing a stable and comfortable ride even over rough ground. Ground clearance sits at approximately 11.8 inches, helping it handle rocks, ruts, and uneven terrain with ease.
